Our Beliefs & Purpose

Our Beliefs

Oromo Evangelical Church of Denver (OECD) is a body of Christians who trust that humankind’s salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Our congregation worships God with truth, preaches God’s Word in its entirety, and believes the Holy Bible is the perfect Word of God. We believe that God deserves all the honor and praise for who He is, what He has done, and what He continues to do. It is the ultimate desire of our congregation to fulfill the calling and responsibility He entrusted to us. We strive to be a symbol of unity for Christians, the center of love and hope. We believe in the Holy Spirit to be empowered by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to declare and demonstrate the power of the Gospel with its clarity, simplicity, and entirety, thereby restoring humankind to God’s original intention.

Mission Statement

The main work of this ministry is to reach the unreached with the love of Christ holistically and help them spiritually, physically, and emotionally. To declare and demonstrate clearly and simply the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which restores humankind to God’s original intention.

Vision Statement

To see members of Oromo Evangelical Church of Denver passionate about the Gospel to reach the unreached with it, locally and internationally, in a language they can understand.
